Pre-Demo READ ME for Aaron Jones, JD · Personal Injury Practice, Washington State
Version 1.0 · 2026-04-16
Signal Loom Legal Pre-Flight is an AI-powered case intelligence platform built for personal injury attorneys in Washington State. The client's own data — intake, medical records, injury history — is compiled and analyzed through five independent clinical and legal layers. The attorney receives a structured Pre-Flight report: what's documented, what's missing, what the record actually says.
Your client completes the intake. Your firm receives the analysis. You decide what to do with it.
The intake form is the primary client experience. Your client fills it out — on their phone, at their kitchen table, with their medical records in front of them. They upload records, describe their injuries, and answer structured questions. The analysis is compiled automatically. You receive it ready to review.
The attorney-facing Pre-Flight report (the 5-tab demo) is what your firm uses after the data drops in. The intake experience is what your client sees first.
Compiles client intake and medical records into a structured case analysis. Flags missed injuries, documentation gaps, wellness history risks, and insurer conduct patterns. Generates a demand letter draft. Gives the attorney a structured, annotated view of what the case file actually contains.
Doesn't value cases. Doesn't predict outcomes. Doesn't give legal advice. Doesn't replace attorney judgment. Doesn't make causation conclusions. Doesn't store raw medical records. Doesn't hallucinate citations.
The client fills out a structured 7-step intake on their phone or computer. They describe the incident, their injuries, every medical provider they've seen, their prior health history, work impact, and insurance situation. They can upload medical records, images, and audio. No technical knowledge required — designed for a person who's been injured and is already overwhelmed.
Uploaded records — PDFs, photos of records, audio files — are processed through Signal Loom AI's transcription and extraction pipeline. Medical record summaries are compiled into a structured digest. The client doesn't need to do anything else. The data is ready.
Signal Loom Legal processes the compiled case through five independent analytical layers. Flags are generated for clinical deviations, documentation gaps, wellness history risks, pre-existing conditions, and insurer conduct patterns. Every flag is sourced and confidence-rated.
Your firm receives the structured Pre-Flight report: scores, deviation flags, clinical timeline, pre-existing analysis, and a demand letter draft. You review it, decide what to act on, and engage with the case from a position of knowledge — not discovery.
Each layer is independent. They don't talk to each other. A flag in one layer doesn't become a legal conclusion in another without you making that connection deliberately.
Treatment timing, imaging findings, referral patterns, escalation decisions against AAOS/ACOEM guidelines. Flags: missed injuries, care gaps, inappropriate escalations or non-escalations, untreated findings.
WA State settlement ranges by injury type and county. Litigation timeline benchmarks. Special damages documentation standards. Flags where documentation gaps undermine settlement leverage.
Quality and completeness of the medical record — not the care, the documentation of the care. Flags incomplete neurological exams, missing ROM measurements, undocumented referrals, work status gaps.
Hormone therapy, peptide supplementation, functional medicine, wellness clinic history. The most strategically important layer in 2026 — defense firms are already mining this data. Flags what will be used against your client before it ambushes you at IME.
Observable behavioral patterns of WA State auto insurers — Allstate, State Farm, GEICO, Progressive, Liberty Mutual — associated with low-ball positioning. Flags: delayed UIM tender, ROR without documentation, surveillance indicators, medical necessity denials without peer review. These are strategic signals, not bad faith conclusions.
These walls are architecturally enforced. They prevent Pre-Flight from making the most dangerous type of AI error in legal analysis: a confident cross-domain conclusion that sounds credible but is wrong.
The intake form is the primary acquisition experience for your firm. Your client interacts with this. Not the attorney-facing 5-tab report. This is what converts a new potential client into an engaged, data-ready case.
The intake form covers 7 steps:
Your client can complete this on their own time. They don't need an attorney to guide them through it. Records can be uploaded as files or photos. Audio descriptions are transcribed automatically via Signal Loom AI.
---Tab 1 — Case Scores: Viability Score, Deviation Index, Record Quality Score. Each lane-specific — shown separately, not aggregated.
Tab 2 — Clinical Timeline: Chronological view of every medical encounter. Gaps in care shown in red. Treatment escalation mapped visually.
Tab 3 — Deviation Flags: Every flagged deviation from the five layers. Source, severity, confidence, clinical significance, legal significance. Attorney review required on every flag.
Tab 4 — Pre-Existing Review: Every prior injury or condition rated by exposure level. What defense can actually do with it. Pre-Flight's confidence in the assessment.
Tab 5 — Demand Letter Draft: Structured demand letter generated from the Pre-Flight output. Treatment table, deviation summary, special damages, settlement demand placeholder. DRAFT — ATTORNEY REVIEW REQUIRED BEFORE USE.
Choose the model that fits your firm's infrastructure and risk tolerance:
HIPAA: No BAA required. Pre-Flight processes data on your infrastructure. No PHI leaves your environment. Simplest setup for solo and small firm PI practices already running secure case management.
Best for: Firms with existing secure infrastructure who don't want to change their data handling.
HIPAA: BAA required. Signal Loom's HIPAA-configured cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare Business). AES-256, TLS 1.3, per-tenant encryption, immutable audit logs. Full SaaS model with managed infrastructure.
Best for: Firms that want a managed solution without operating their own infrastructure.
HIPAA: No BAA required. All processing happens in the client's browser. Data is encrypted before it leaves their device. Signal Loom has zero ability to read the data — we only see encrypted blobs. Most privacy-protective option. No third party can compel Signal Loom to produce readable data.
Best for: Firms with highest security requirements or government-adjacent clients.
The problem: Standard AI tools can "hallucinate" — generate confident-sounding but completely fabricated citations. Presenting a fake citation in court is a bar complaint and a credibility catastrophe.
Pre-Flight's solution — RAG-only architecture:
Pre-Flight cannot generate citations from its training memory. Every citation must come from one of two verified sources:
If no verified source exists, the output is labeled UNVERIFIED or ATTORNEY ANALYSIS REQUIRED. Pre-Flight will not present an unverified citation as fact.
---⚠️ Every piece of data in the demo is fictional. The case (T. Caldwell) is a made-up PI plaintiff. The providers, diagnoses, treatment timeline, and settlement references are all fabricated for demonstration purposes only. All citations are marked [DEMO — FICTITIOUS].
Do not use any specific data point from the demo as a reference in a real case. The demo shows the Pre-Flight experience — not real case data.
Pilot timeline: 2–3 weeks from intake to first reports, depending on case complexity.
